Indian style Millet Porridge is a very easy and healthy recipe which can be made with only 9 ingredients!
Kichidi is one of the simplest recipes, yet it is so comforting. Generally, Kichidi is made from rice and mung dal, sometimes vegetables are also added along with different varieties of spices. The recipe I am sharing with you today is made with pearl millet and is commonly made for breakfast in the state of Haryana. I didn’t find the pearl millet in any store close by, so I used hulled millet and the dish was absolutely delicious!
What makes Bajra ki Kichidi so special?
One thing about Kichidi that is made with rice is that eating a little bit does make us feel full, but before we know it we are hungry again. That’s because of white rice, I tried using brown rice, but I am not a big fan of brown rice. But this made the dish perfect. It was comforting, filling, of course very simple to do and a family favorite dinner.
