Sani Hui Mooli Aur Nimbu / Radish Coleslaw is a simple refreshing sweet and spicy coleslaw recipe that can be made with only 9 ingredients!
Sani hui mooli aur nimbu means Radish cut into Julians (cut into small sticks) folded with yogurt dressing. In other words, we can say it is a Radish Coleslaw.
I have little experience using both mooli and hemp seeds in my cooking. As much as I like these two ingredients, I was curious to see what it is like to use hemp seeds in Indian cooking and of course the combination of these two.
What makes Sani Hui Nimbu Aur Mooli so special?
I have 4 words – Refreshing, crunchy, sweet and spicy and of course love it! love it!! love it!!! I think this will be a perfect dish for summer, we can make it into a salad or top it on tacos and so much more. I cannot wait for you all to try this!
Sani Hui Mooli Aur Nimbu / Radish Coleslaw recipe:

- Garlic – chopped – 1 tbsp – Heaped
- Green chilies – ¼ cup – chopped
- Lemon – only flesh – 1 heaped tbsp. – chopped
- Salt – 1 tsp / to taste
- Yogurt – ½ cup
- Hemp Hearts – 3 tbsp
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Cilantro – 1 tbsp minced
- Roast hemp hearts on low heat for 3-4 minutes
- Make garlic, hemp hearts, green chilies, yogurt, salt, sugar by blending in a food processor or a mini blender
- In a bowl fold, the yogurt sauce along with mooli slices serve!
*It is best to serve it immediately after mixing everything, else it becomes watery. If you want to make it in advance, add salt in the end just before serving.**If you think mooli is too spicy, you can add ½ cup of cucumber or zucchini and ¾ cup of radish.***I have tried this recipe with Daikon and Pink Radish. I didn’t find much difference. So you can use either one of them. When I tried this recipe with Daikon I did cut them into 1 inch Julians, for Pink radish I sliced them.
